Academic Studies

Prof Duran has contributed articles in Turkish and English languages to various books and journals on Turkish foreign policy, Turkish political life, Europe, transformation and politics in the Middle East, democracy, civil society, history of Turkish political thought and Islamism. He has published a book titled 19. Dönem Parlamento Tarihi [History of Turkish Parliament: 19th Legislative Term] (3 volumes). His articles have been published in journals including Middle Eastern Studies, Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, Comparative Studies of South Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies, Insight Turkey, the Muslim World, Euro Agenda, Perceptions, Orient, Liberal Düşünce, Muhafazakar Düşünce, Demokrasi Platformu, Hece, Bilgi ve Sivil Toplum. He is among the editors of Türk Dış Politikası Yıllığı (2009-2023) [Turkish Foreign Policy Yearbook].
